Slowly but surely our Vancouver basement remodel is starting to really come together. The HVAC and laying of the radiant will be done by next week, along with the first pour right after.
Last week we spent a few days going to cabinet companies and getting quotes for our mill-work and cabinets. We ended up going to Elite Kitchens and Bathrooms in Langley, where Sabrina was very helpful and detailed. Angelo from Kitchen Craft in Langley also offered some nice products, but my personal favorite would have to be the products from Old World Kitchens in Chilliwack. The show room was beautiful, and showcased many of the appliances and cabinets that we have in our home in Phoenix. Unfortunately, almost every company has a month or so wait until they can start on our project, so our finish date has been pushed back even further.Right now we are still waiting on pricing from the mentioned companies, but we received clarification from all companies that the quotes will be in by the end of this week.

As for the reclaimed portion of the project, we have found some beautiful products off of a site called www.woodbeams.ca. Unfortunately, the time it takes to arrive here in Vancouver is about 12 weeks, pushing our completion date back even further. We are still looking at our options when it comes to the reclaimed portion of the mill-work, hoping we can cut down on the time delay.
